It is EFCC vs Ayodele Fayose Again – Asking oneself of what’s happening in Ekiti State is deemed a “waste of time” Cos if you don’t know, it’s all around town. how???
INEC Declared Kayode Fayemi as the Winner of Ekiti State Governorship Election, Governor FAYOSE claims he was battered by police alongside his deputy Eleka and to crown it all Ekiti State is experiencing a wave of mixed feelings coupled with news and roumours (you know know…. the ups and downs after election – The blah blah blah stuffs – court, rallies, appeal and final results).
Well, thats just by the way….
NOW, is it EFCC vs Ayodele Fayose – a fierce saga which had earlier taken place on a hard ground of tussle.
As we all know, immunity will soon be over and Governor Fayose will be Mr. Ayodele Fayose (Ex-Governor of Ekiti State)
The anti-graft agency disclosed this in a tweet on Sunday, July 15, saying: “The parri is over; The cloak of immunity torn apart, and the staff broken. #Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological Concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon.”
The former minister defeated Professor Olusola Eleka, the current deputy governor of Ekiti state and the anointed candidate of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
From the results of the 16 local government areas in the state, Fayemi defeated Prof. Kolapo Olusola in 12 LGAs. In 2006, EFCC had embarked on a comprehensive investigation, which indicted Ayodele Fayose and Biodun Olujinmi, the former deputy governor. Results of the investigation revealed that between December 2003 and December 2005, the executive governor of Ekiti state, without due process, engaged Biological Concept, managed by one Gbenga James, his personal friend, on the pretext of establishing an integrated poultry farm in the state.
Through this project, the sum of N855 million was withdrawn from the account of the state government.
