Amaechi Leaked Audio – First it was Reno Omokri, an ex-presidential aide on new media released a full audio recording of the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, referring to President Muhammadu Buhari as an ignoramus who neither takes advice nor reads to acquire information.

Recall that in the snippet, Amaechi was reportedly heard saying, “The President does not listen to anybody. Does he even read?”

In the audio, Amaechi was alleged to have said: “This country can never change, I swear. The only way this country can change is in a situation where everybody is killed.”

But the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital, New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has claimed the audio recording was from 2014 at the height of Amaechi’s fight with Omokri’s former principal, President Goodluck Jonathan.

In what appears as a counterattack against Ogunlesi’s defence, Omokri released the full clip where Amaechi was put on record mentioning President Buhari’s name.

He tweeted: “Yesterday, I set up the @NGRPresident. I knew if I released the full #AmaechiTapes, they’d say it was fake.


PDP Presidential Candidate Reacts on Amaechi Leaked Audio

A statement on Sunday by Phrank Shaibu, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, said Amaechi warned that a vote for President Buhari in the forthcoming presidential election will be a vote for stagnation, emphasizing that, “Nigeria cannot change.”

Shaibu stated that the President should just quit honourably instead of wasting taxpayers monies on a failed reelection bid.

The Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari 2019 Campaign Council, Rotimi Amaechi, has dismissed an audio recording, in which he allegedly criticized his principal.

In the recording which has gone viral, Amaechi apparently claimed Buhari does not read newspapers or listen to news on the economic situation in the country.

However, speaking with The Sun, the Transportation Minister said that he was not aware of such audio.

When he was asked for his comments on the audio that has gone viral, Amaechi said:

“Nothing. I am not aware of any audio recording.”

Further told that the audio was gaining momentum on different online websites, the immediate-past governor of Rivers State and incumbent Minister of Transportation asked: “Do I do website?”
